Abstract

A health intervention strategy was carried out on 30 students between 16 and 18 years of age, who presented inappropriate behaviors, belonging to the "Alfredo Guillot Pozo" Pre-University Institute of Santiago de Cuba, with a view to improving their behavior. Educational actions were carried out that included: therapeutic treatment by the health team, educational resources and psychotherapeutic activities, where family members, teachers and directors of mass organizations also participated. In the series, the male sex, adolescents from dysfunctional families and poor home-school relationships predominated. The contribution of the social worker, together with the family doctor, was valuable to achieve a comprehensive approach to the adolescent in his family, school and social environment.
