Abstract

A quantitative research was carried out in the Chair of Comprehensive General Medicine of the "Dr. Joaquín Castillo Duany" Provincial Teaching Hospital of Santiago de Cuba, with the purpose of designing an internal system for evaluating the quality of the teaching management process in said specialization. and thus determine the impact of the strategic planning implemented for the 2014-2015 academic year. It was found that the impact of strategic planning was adequate, since the maximum score was achieved in most of the indicators and the overall score was 85 points. This allowed us to interpret that the proposed objectives are met, but with the existence of threats and weaknesses that limit obtaining the expected results in performance and optimization of human capital. It could be concluded that the evaluation practice offered teachers and managers the possibility of evaluating the results, the quality of the actions applied and the relevance of the changes produced in the specialization process.
